The Aledo High School varsity tennis team had another excellent showing in the Byron Nelson Tournament, medaling in 6 events in a field of mainly 6A schools.

In Mixed Doubles A Draw, Nikki Adamie and Alec Meendsen beat Byron Nelson 6-3, 7-5 in the final to take first place. In Mixed Doubles B Draw Consolation, James Young and Tristyn Fambrough beat Flower Mound.

In Boys’ Doubles A Draw, Lance McClure and Trey Fambrough defeated Liberty Christian 6-3, 6-1 to take third place, and in the B Draw Ben Colvin and Tristan Trotter beat Northwest 6-1, 6-3 for third place as well.

In Girls’ Doubles A Draw, Erin Davis and Allison Dale also took third place defeating Byron Nelson 6-3, 6-0. In Girls’ Singles A Draw, Priscilla Schimming defeated Denton Ryan 6-0, 6-3 for third place.

The Aledo varsity tennis team is back in action on February 24 at home in the Aledo tournament.
