The Aledo varsity tennis team opened district play with a decisive win against a strong Abilene Cooper team on Saturday, September 15th. Aledo led 5-2 after doubles play and never looked back finishing the match with a 14-5 victory.

The Varsity team then traveled to Wichita Falls to face the 2017 District 5-5A champion, Wichita Falls High School on Tuesday, September 18th. This was the second district match of the fall season for AHS. Aledo had a 7-0 lead after doubles play, and continued with strong singles play, the team pulled away with a 19-0 win.
