Frigid temperatures couldn’t stop the Aledo Varsity tennis team from coming away with medals in 6 brackets at the Centennial tournament held at the Arlington Tennis Center on Friday, February 18.
Boys A doubles team of Jax Joiner/ Hogan Posey continued their streak in top three finishes by placing 2nd after a hard fought finals match against Alvarado. Boys B doubles Ben Farmer/Craig Mason played their first tournament together and placed 1st beating Alvarado in the championship match.
Mixed A doubles duo Ian Leslie/Bryanna Orr took 1st place in their bracket along with Mixed B doubles partners Jacob Heckathorn/Zoë Whitcomb placing 1st as well.
Girls A doubles team Paige Federman/Elli Kate Bussmeir placed 1st easily defeating their opponents in all four matches. Closing out the tournament with another 1st place medal was Kenley Germany in Girls B singles.
The RacquetCats travel to Denton on Friday, February 25 for the Ryan Raider tournament.
