On September 20, 2022, the Aledo Varsity Tennis Team played their fourth district match of the
season, defeating Brewer High School with a score of 21-0.
Girls doubles scores were as follows: Line 1 Bryanna Orr/Kenley Germany (6-2, 6-0); Line 2 Elli
Kate Bussmeir/Paige Federman (6-1, 6-0) and Line 3 Natalie Nawrocki/Patrice Loftin (6-0,
7-6(7)). Boys doubles posted the following scores: Line 1 Scott Mason/Craig Mason (6-1, 6-1);
Line 2 Ian Leslie/Hogan Posey (6-0, 6-1) and Line 3 Ben Farmer/Jacob Heckathorn (7-5, 6-1).
Mixed doubles Will Beyer/Sydney Byrd defeated their opponents 6-1, 6-0.
Singles play saw high scores from both the girls and boys. Orr (6-1, 6-0); Bussmeir (6-1, 6-0);
Germany (6-0, 6-0); Federman (8-3); Eleanor Jack (8-0); Gracie Heydman (8-4) and Nawrocki
(6-0). The boys ended with the following scores from S. Mason (6-2, 6-2); Leslie (6-0, 6-2);
Farmer (8-0); C. Mason (8-3); Heckathorn (8-0); Francois Britz (8-3) and Beyer (7-5).
The squad’s record in District 5-5A play now stands at 4-0, with an overall season record of
10-2. The team will take on Azle High School next Tuesday, 9/27 at Azle.
