The Bearcats and Ladycats competed Friday at the District 5-5A Championships, held at Central Park in White Settlement. It was a great day for all! Both the Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys are District Champions, and are moving on to the Regional Championships in Lubbock. The Varsity Girls were led by individual District Champion Molly Garrison, while the Varsity Boys were led by individual District Champion Jack Fink. The girls posted a championship score of 27 points. The boys also posted a tremendous championship score of 23 points.
The JV Boys completed a rare feat -- posting a PERFECT SCORE of 15 points! Our top 5 runners finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. They were led by individual District Champion Lincoln Tuin.
The JV Girls ran very well, finishing 3rd overall. They were led by 2nd place finisher Emily Lewis.
It is now on to Regionals for the Varsity teams. Extremely proud of every one of our runners! They have the dedication to put in the work and the mileage all season long. Great season!
